Introducing “Tales from Ise”
Updated: Feb 23, 2020

It is my great honor and privilege to announce my participation in Kogakkan University’s 2020 “Ise and Japan Study Program!” Kogakkan has welcomed thirteen scholars who share a passion for Japan’s rich history and culture and a great interest in learning more about Ise. Of course, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to learn all I can about the Ise shrines and Shinto. For the next three weeks, I’ll be posting here and on my social media every day about what I’ve seen and learned. Just in the first week, I’ll be visiting the Inner Shrine (Naiku), Outer Shrine (Geku), Saigu Museum, and Kogakkan Shinto Museum. I hope you’ll join me (and my new friend Hanaterasu-chan) on this incredible journey!
